Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Upon the campers’ arrival, extend a cordial welcome and ensure that they are well-informed about their stay.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a timely manner, providing precise information regarding campground amenities, local attractions, and safety regulations.
  • Utilize a Point of Sale System to efficiently manage reservations and check-ins/check-outs.
  • Address and resolve visitor concerns with a solutions-oriented approach and professionalism.

Facility Maintenance:

  • The cleaning of vacated campsites, public outhouses, day use areas, trails, and park facilities.
  • Ensure that the campground is sanitary and that the facilities are maintained in accordance with the park’s quality control plan.
  • Conduct routine site inspections to guarantee the safety and well-being of all visitors.
  • Provide assistance in the management of timber sales and other campground services.

Community Engagement:

  • Ensure that all visitors respect the shared spaces and promote and communicate campground policies in order to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Offer suggestions for outdoor activities, hiking trails, and local events to improve the guest experience.
  • Organize or provide support for campground events, including National Parks Day program activities and other holiday events.

Administrative Duties:

  • Manage cash management, process payments, and preserve precise records.
  • Aid in the monitoring of inventory and the replenishment of supplies as required.
  • Resolving fundamental IT problems.
  • Inform the appropriate personnel of any maintenance issues or emergencies as soon as possible.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and prioritizes customer satisfaction.
  • It is highly advantageous to possess prior experience in outdoor recreation, customer service, or hospitality.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
  • Capacity to operate independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced outdoor setting.
  • Capable of managing daily business processes by working directly with computer applications, including the POS system, records, and reporting.
  • Basic operating and maintenance skills are required to perform minor repairs and maintenance on grounds and facilities, including landscaping equipment and small tools.
  • A passion for outdoor activities and nature; a working knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and trails is advantageous.
  • The capacity to perform physical activities for protracted periods, including walking, standing, lifting, and bending.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, which may include weekends and holidays.
